Buffer Time Small Group Drumming (Ages 7 to 10) Tuesdays 4:00 to 4:30
Author of Chronic Creativity and lifetime youth music coach, Angela (Angie) Mack has strategically and insightfully developed an after-school program intended to help ease the transition between school and home.
Mack is passionate about providing solutions to help ease familial stress, offering opportunities for nonverbal creative outlets and helping children develop a strong sense of music, improvisation and rhythm.
A small group of 5 students will come into the studio and choose their drum of choice which will be provided. Mack will facilitate the drumming session and introduce concepts and themes that encourage creativity, listening and developing musical moods. Gaining an intuitive sense of rhythm is invaluable and beneficial for life. It also requires listening. This after school opportunity is foundational.
Mack has spent decades directing musicals, leading teams of musicians, hosting classes for large groups, creating performing arts lessons plans and spearheading youth programs. Mack has also given statewide talks to educators about creating environments where gifts and talents can thrive.
