COVID-19 Update (see below)
HOW OFTEN & WHEN:
Week of June 8 through the week of August 24th. Each slot is 1/2 hour each.
Some students like purchasing an hour slot especially if there are multiple disciplines (i.e. guitar and voice) or if the student is more serious about musical learning. There is a drop down menu to reserve your slot. Slots are first come/first served. No refunds once you reserve. However, you can switch to a different available slot once registered.

I have 23 years of producing, directing, performing and teaching music in Ozaukee County. I am considered an "expert" in my field. My strength is in how knowledgeable and diverse that am. I also have a ton of connections in the entertainment industry. I primarily work with ages 3 to 103. I teach piano, guitar, voice, acting, songwriting, music theory, ukulele, public speaking, marketing your music, drums, music and technology and so much more. Just ask! email@example.com
Summer lessons will begin the week of June 8th. Please know that the schedule is very strict due to the number of students I have with multiple family members and activities to get to. So, for example, if you arrive 10 minutes late, you will have a 20 minute lesson. Please try not to arrive more than 5 minutes early if possible.
I live 1/2 block south of the Grafton Library and Kennedy School My house is on the corner. 1701 11th Ave. in Grafton. Parents are welcome to sit on my comfortable front porch or drop off and go on and errand. Lessons are one on one only unless if a parent needs to be in the room due to a medical reason.
ANYONE ALLERGIC TO DOGS OR CATS?
I would like for you to know that I have a dog and cats who won't be present during the lessons. So if ANYONE IS ALLERGIC, PLEASE LET ME KNOW RIGHT AWAY so that I can make other arrangements.
I do have an air purifier and air conditioner with a filter in the room and use an essential oil diffuser (usually with peppermint or lemon oil) to keep the rooms comfortable. I also vacuum with a filter every day and mop the hardwood floors to keep any dander down.
I tailor each lesson to the individual. Once you reserve and as we get closer to the start date, I will advise on any materials to purchase via email. In some cases (with new students) I might wait to recommend materials until after we have met.
MISSED LESSONS/MAKE UPS
The only way that I will do make ups for the summer is if I know about any camps, vacations, trips, etc....by June 1st. I am willing to make arrangements for these types of misses that are known about in advance.
There are roughly 12 weeks in my summer session. However, I am only charging for 10 weeks. This means that you can miss 2 days during the summer for illness, emergencies, etc.....without any financial penalty. If you have perfect attendance, you get 2 free lessons!
SUMMER COST AND PAYMENTS
The cost for the entire summer is $330. $110 down now to reserve (non-refundable).....then $110 due on 6/15 and $110 due on 7/15). Be sure to email me prior to June 1st about any vacation or camp dates. firstname.lastname@example.org
RECOMMEND GETTING A GRAFTON LIBRARY CARD
Almost all of my families are super busy. Many like to "double up" and go to the Grafton Library to check out books, videos, etc... before or after their lesson.
Your first library card is free! You just need to bring ID and proof of address when you sign up.
I occasionally take photos or short videos to share on Ozaukee Talent social media. To protect children's safety, I do not reveal their name, age, school, time of lesson, etc.....Feel free to look at my Instagram account to see the types of things that I post. I found that most conflicts are due to communication misunderstandings, different philosophies, etc…..If there are ever any issues, please talk to me or write directly first.

Lessons can be online, in-person, or a combination of both. Due to the ever-changing situation that this pandemic has caused, lessons will be online if safety is an issue. Please understand that this is a flexible situation. Students displaying any symptoms such as a fever, cough, runny nose, conjunctivitis, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, rash, etc....will be asked to meet online. Students who have known contact with Covid-19 will be asked to meet online. Lessons will be held on the front porch when feasible and windows will be open in the music studio as often as possible. We will continue to disinfect high surface areas in between each student. Parents and siblings are not allowed in the music studio during the lesson. Students will be asked to have their own hand sanitizer to use before entering the premises. The bathroom may not be used by student family members and only in an emergency situation for the student. Please try to use another restroom before arriving for the lesson. Masks are preferred to be worn by instrumental students but not essential.
